Quick answers

Is super taken out of my pay?

No, unless your contract says your salary includes super. Your employer pays 12% on top of your salary into your super fund.

What changed on 1 July 2026?

The rate on income between $18,201 and $45,000 went down from 16% to 15%.

Why is my payslip a little different?

Employers withhold tax each payday using the ATO tables. This is a yearly estimate, so a payslip can be a few dollars off.
